Every year thousands upon thousands of people in Australia fall seriously ill or suffer a serious accident in the workplace, on the road or at home.
The majority of these people are left without the stability of a regular income and the vast majority have no unemployment income protection (or otherwise called just income protection). As well as having to deal with the trauma that goes along with suffering from the illness or the injury, many are crippled financially as they have limited resources to pay the bills which no matter what the situation keep on coming.
The advantage of unemployment income protection speaks volumes for itself - you have the peace of mind that if you were to fall ill, suffer an accident and be made unemployed, your income will be protected. Government assistance is limited and this can leave you with a very big problem should the unexpected happen, so it is extremely important that you are covered in the event that you are unable to work.

Unfortunately with the current economic climate there are no insurance companies out that that provide protection for redundancy. Income protection insurance aims to protect (generally up to 75%) of the life insured’s income in the event that they are unable to work due to accident or illness only.

If you cannot cover for unemployment due to Redundancy then your product is as bad as useless. All you want is free money from people who are working hard. Sorry guys, you've lost me.
